53 year old female with Anxiety

A lovely 53 year old woman came to the clinic with concerns of anxiety, tinnitus, attention issues, and some confusion. Her GAD7 score was 18, indicating severe anxiety. [GAD7 Questionnaire].


A review of the labs ordered:

TSH, ferritin, lipids, hsCRP, homocysteine, CBC, Metabolic panel were all normal.

Vitamin D 23 [low]

B12 203 [suboptimal]


qEEG results showed her to have an "overwhelmed anxiety spectrum" pattern.

16 year old female with Panic Attacks and OCD

A 16 year old female with concerns of fatigue, panic attacks, and OCD came into the clinic. She was having panic attacks about 3 times per day, daily anxiety, and OCD with hand-washing. She was already following a gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free diet.


A normal day's meal schedule consisted of:

Breakfast: GF cereal or GF frozen waffles

Lunch: Typically she would not eat lunch and only snack throughout the day. If she did eat, it would be a granola bar or chips.

Dinner: Dinner is a family meal typically cooked by her parents which included a meat, veggie, and starch. Many times it would have pasta.

Sweets: Every day after dinner she has dessert. She loves ice cream, chocolate, and cookies.

16 year old female with Anxiety and Depression

A 16 yr old female came to the clinic with concerns of anxiety and depression. She also described "loose stools" and fatigue with energy levels at 2/10. Her anxiety was being managed by taking Ativan (Lorazepam) 1mg as needed.

In the office she was noticed to be more pale, with ridges on her fingernails and dry skin.


Labs were ordered and came back with :

1. Positive tTG IgG antibody: Tissue transglutaminase antibody (tTG), IgA class is the primary, most sensitive, and specific blood test — and the single test preferred by the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association for the detection of celiac disease in those over 2 years old. If positive, the test can also monitor the condition and help evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.

3. Low serum vitamin D


9 year old male Over-aroused Anxiety

A 9 year old boy came to the clinic with concerns of:

- anxiety

- stomachaches

- eczema

- asthma

- food allergies
