Herbs for the Nervous System
Nervines are a class of herbs that help support the nervous system. In our fast pace, anxiety filled world that has consumed us in the last 6 months. Nervines can help be the calm of the storm.

Albizia- this can be helpful when you are down and need a pick me up. Helps the heart heal from grief
Bacopa- helpful for attention and focus, like food for your brain
California poppy- having a hard time settling down at night to fall asleep
Catnip- tendency to be nervous and have stomach cramping
Chamomile- tired and wired and tend get nervous stomach
Kava- small amounts increase focus and concentration with a calming effect
Lavender- just smelling lavender lifts your heart. Gentle reducer of anxiety and helpful to fall asleep
Lemon Balm- can be helpful when someone is down and anxious at the same time
Skullcap- helpful for anxiety and tension headaches.
Passionflower- helpful for racing thoughts when trying to fall asleep
Valerian- difficulty falling and staying asleep
