Tea for Winter
What's your favorite warm beverage to drink on cold days?
It's actually hard to pick just one!
Here is one of our favorite tea recipes for deep winter.
Homemade masala chai
(aka chai tea but did you know that chai means tea??....so it's like saying tea tea lol)
This recipe can be changed based on how spicy you like your chai
1 inch piece of cinnamon
1 inch piece of ginger (increase for more spice)
3 green cardamom pods
3 whole cloves
1 star anise
2 tsp black tea
1 tsp sweetener (adjust up or down to taste preference)
1.5 cups of milk/ milk alternative
1.5 cups water
Lightly crush all the spices and add to pan with black tea and water, simmer for a 2-3 mins.
Add milk- heat but do not boil.
Strain and add sweetener.
